GEOPOLITICUS CHILD WATCHING THE BIRTH OF THE NEW MAN

Date: 1943

Material Used: Oil on canvas

Size: 18 x 20 1/2 inches

This painting is the author SALVADOR DALI, the background is gloomy weather, oppressive atmosphere, seems to presage the arrival of a storm. I felt the background looked like a desert, desolate. From the top of the screen to start looking first to see a white cloth, I think this piece of cloth that looks like an umbrella. This cloth does not cover the things above, but floating in the air, in the middle of cloth seems to be lifted from above. Here there is a very large egg, ready to start cracking up. There is a man struggling, you can clearly see a human, I can see him hold up the bones and muscles due to the hard and tight. Around the egg with yellow liquid, red liquid flowing from cracks in the eggs, I guess this is the human egg and struggling out of the blood. The following are also covered with a piece of egg white cloth, blood flow to the cloth top, but did not render the mark, I think this description is still fresh blood.

On the right side of eggs a woman standing there. She looks very thin, dark skin, women did not wear clothes, you can clearly see her ribs. Her fingers to the egg, looked down at his feet, as if what others said. Then following a woman to have a child that looks quite young, height only to the woman's knee, the child tightly holding a woman's legs, cowardly hiding, I can see his fear, but because of curiosity and look to the eggs. I think he did not understand what the woman told him that he could not fully understand what happened eggs there, he can quietly watching, not a little voice, which is probably the first time he saw this scenes.

After breaking with Surrealism, Dali reaction, abstract modern art, steering Renaissance inspiration. Looking at the past, he coincide renewed interest in the Catholic Church, and transferred from his personal image to a more general symbol of science and religion. When working in this painting, Dali depicts protection, cupola, placenta, Catholic, eggs, ground distortion.

Geopoliticus children reflect the importance of the new discovery, the man emerges from the egg to break out of the country, "new", indicating a global change. The importance of increasing the representative of the third world, indicating that the diminishing importance of the international force. Cloth draped above and below the egg represents "placenta" as Dali shows a drop of blood, only new country through much pain and suffering born. Androgynous figure standing in the foreground of old and new point man, recognizing the birth of this global change. The timid child with its long shadow - on "Geopoliticus children" in the title - represents the new era.
